COMMUNITY SEED BANK & MORE @THE LIBRARY

Please join us for a special event on Thursday, November 3rd at 6pm. We will be presenting and discussing the following topics:

  • a community seed bank: how and where to collect the native seeds, and how you can help

  • planting now for pollinators: PVCS will have seeds for planting now for those plants that need "cold stratification" (ie: milkweed) specifically in order for them to sprout in the spring, and will discuss other ways to ensure your seeds will be successful

  • starting a community garden: Why (food pantry, community); Where (location); How (cost); Who would work (volunteers, hired help); Who would benefit, and more

Anyone interested in any of these topics is encouraged to join the discussion! Attendees are also asked to bring small containers with them, so that they may bring home seeds.

Registration is required.
