REPAIR CAFE IS COMING AND WE NEED VOLUNTEERS

On Wednesday February 2 @Town Hall 7PM Jean Curlee will presenting an overview of Pleasant Valley Repair Café and seeking the support of the board for this endeavor.

Come by the town hall to find out about Repair Café or watch from your couch.

Pleasant Valley Repair Café is a neighborhood initiative that promotes repair as an alternative to tossing things out. The Repair Café will meet 4-5 times a year on a Saturday in the Town Hall starting June 4

 Repair Café is looking for volunteer Repairers who can help repair and share their knowledge.

We are especially looking for people who are handy with:

 * clothing / textiles                          * bicycles /scooters / wagons

* electrical appliance / lamps       * jewelry / pottery / glassware

* stuffed toys / dolls                       * furniture / wooden objects

Don’t have a skill to share, we are also looking for volunteers:

 ·       Greeter who will welcome people, ensure they get checked in and know the rules.

·       Café assistants

·       Set up and Clean up

·       Social Media coordinator
